Sericho Pallasite Meteorite is a rare type of meteorite that was discovered in Kenya, Africa. Pallasites are a unique class of stony-iron meteorites that consist of a mixture of silicate minerals and metallic iron-nickel alloy. The Sericho Pallasite Meteorite is particularly notable for its beautiful olivine crystals embedded within the metallic matrix.

The Sericho Pallasite Meteorite was first discovered in 2016 by local herders in the village of Habaswein, near the border between Kenya and Ethiopia. It is believed to have fallen to Earth thousands of years ago, originating from the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. The meteorite weighs approximately 650 kilograms and has been classified as a main-group pallasite, belonging to the PMG (Pallasite Main Group) subgroup.

Pallasites are thought to have formed at the core-mantle boundary of differentiated asteroids, where molten metal and silicate minerals mixed together due to impacts or other geological processes. The olivine crystals found in Sericho Pallasite Meteorite are gem-quality and exhibit a range of colors from green to yellow. These crystals are highly prized by collectors and researchers for their unique beauty and scientific value.
