Ametrine is a naturally occurring variety of Quartz that is a mixture of Amethyst, and Citrine with distinct portions of purple and yellow. Ametrine is almost exclusively mined in Bolivia (the reason for its trade name, Bolivianite). The different color portions are due to different oxidation states of the iron within the crystal.

Metaphysical: Ametrine is believed to contain the metaphysical properties of both Amethyst and Citrine combined into one, as well as its own additional properties. It is thought to stimulate intellect, cleanse your aura of negativity, and aid in removing inner prejudices. Ametrine has been associated with the Root Chakra and the Crown Chakra, and is thought to help align the two Chakras together_

This Ametrine buddha is a none of a kind hand carved piece. Carved from a unique specimen, it features a simple color transition, varying from transparent at the top to a light dusty lilac at the bottom. There are crackle inclusions throughout that show the depth of the piece. It would be a great alter item, or décor piece for home or office.
